Creme Brulee

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups of heavy cream

  • 1.5 tsp trim healthy mamas super sweet blend (= to about 2 1/4 tablespoons)

  • 6 egg yolks

  • 2 tsp vanilla

  • 1:1 sugar sub or cinnamon sugar mix (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees fahrenheit

  2. Add heavy cream and sugar sub over medium heat until it begins to simmer. Make sure to whisk constantly

  3. Remove from heat and add the egg yolks and vanilla

  4. Pore the mixture evenly into 6-8 ramekins. Put ramekins into pan with a one inch boiling water bath. Bake for 30-35 minutes.

  5. For the topping, I used cinnamon fake sugar, when I used the blow torch it only needed a couple seconds. It looks good but it forms a thin floppy layer. You can also do no topping or use a 1:1 sugar substitute.
