Chia jam
Ingredients:
333 grams of strawberries or raspberries
1 tablespoon of maple syrup or sugar free syrup substitute
1 ½ tablespoons of lemon juice
2 tablespoons of chia seeds
Instructions
Wash fruit. If you are using strawberries, remove tops and cut into halves.
Put fruit into saucepan on medium heat, and cook for 5-10 minutes, or until the fruit starts to break down.
Turn off the heat and mash the fruit with a spatula
Add the chia seeds, sweetener, and lemon juice
Wait about ten minutes for the chia seeds to thicken the jam then put into an airtight jar.
There will be about 3 carbs per tablespoon or less if using monk fruit or other sugar free maple syrup.
